Relay for Life
RELAY FOR LIFE
The National Junior Honor Society along with the students and faculty of Farmersville Junior High School are joining forces with the American Cancer Society to help fight cancer through Relay for Life.
From now until April 25, the junior high team, Farmersville Farmers Fighting Cancer, will be busy with projects and activities to raise at least $1000. FJHS will have its own "mini" Relay for Life on April 25th from 12:00 noon until 3:30 p.m.
The Relay for Life will kick off with the Boys Scouts leading everyone in the pledge and national anthem.
After that, there will be a Survivors' Walk. The National Junior Honor Society along with the students at Farmersville Junior High would like to invite everyone in town who is a cancer survivor to participate in the Survivors' Walk on Friday, April 25, at 12:00 noon at Farmer Stadium. Please come about 20 minutes early to line up on the track. In addition, the students are forming teams to walk that afternoon, and they are asking family and friends to sponsor them.
Donations can also be made on line by going to www.relayforlife.org/mckinneytx. Then click donate and then click donate to a team. From there, scroll down to Farmersville Farmers Fighting Cancer and then click donate again. Donations can also be made at the junior high.
Farmersville Farmers Fighting Cancer t-shirts are on sale now for $10. One dollar from each sold t-shirt will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
