Recognized School District

Farmersville ISD traces its lineage to Looney-Dowlin Academy which was founded circa 1850. In 1894, an eight room-two story brick building was built for education. Today Farmersville ISD has four campuses including a High School facility added in 2000 and an Intermediate School campus added in 2006.

Farmersville ISD has approximately 200 employees and serves 1,445 students. The boundaries of FISD cover 89 square miles.

Farmersville ISD is in Conference 3A Region 2 District 11 with Frisco Lone Star, Lucas Lovejoy, Nevada Community, Princeton, and Prosper ISD for the 2010-2012 school years.
