Parents

Nationwide studies have shown that the more involved a parent is in a child's education, the better the student performs in the classroom. We believe successful learning is achieved through strong connections with parents and the community.

 

FISD had provided a series of communication tools to keep parents in contact with teachers, informed of their child's grades and attendance, and kept up-to-date events and emergencies:

 

District Website - The FISD website provides vast information on Farmersville ISD including accountability ratings, calendars, policies, and events.

 

Email - Each teacher has an email account which can be accessed under the contact link.

 

TxConnect - Each parent has an opportunity to create a TxConnect to get online information on their child's grades and attendance records. See the training guide for more information.

 

School Messenger Notification System - Each parent has the opportunity to sign up for email, telephone and/or text messaging for emergency information, school closing information, and other timely updates.
